“Your knowledge coupled with your positive energy and dedication were very inspiring. My daughter seemed to change her lethargic attitude to one of motivation. ‘I really want to go to college now.’ It is my hope that she can continue to stay motivated. You were wonderful knowing just how to help a student re-connect with their own desires and drives. My daughter thought you were a very gifted person, and told me she was so glad to have connected with you.”
Debra, Parent in Chatsworth, CA

Sonja Montiel – Independent Admissions Counselor

With passion and expertise, Sonja Montiel motivates students and families about the college process. Attendees leave her workshops and presentations with a new definition of what “college” really means for both the student and family. Aside from giving students an action plan on their process, more importantly, she sends a refreshing message that the college journey is one that incorporates research, risk, and the embracing of new experiences towards independence and innovation. Sonja emphasizes the critical factor that students must find their own motivations to venturing in postsecondary opportunities. The result of this ownership leads to not only a successful college process but also a more confident individual. More about Sonja Montiel
